Las Palomas
Las Palomas is located within a small village hamlet called El Salto. This is a very beautiful area with stunning mountain scenery and only a 15 minute drive from Tenerife South Airport. It is not on the flightpath and not troubled by airport noise. The beach of El Medano is only a short distance drive away and offers an array of water sports. El Medano offers great evening entertainment for adults and children with many fiestas and fireworks. Beautiful restaurants surround the beaches and there is much to see and do. For the golf lovers amongst you there are several Championship Golf Courses all within a 10 minute drive from Finca Palomas. San Isidro is a local village offering many designer shops and restaurants. Eating and shopping here is a delight.
Local Information
San Isidro is our local town and has many bar/restaurants, stores and three large supermarkets. The beach town of El Medano, only 10 km further down the hill, has many lovely restaurants and all cater for the family. The beach is 'blue flagged' and is especially suitable for families. Further along the same coast the beach opens out into a surfing and kite area which is very entertaining.
We live in a quiet, traditionally Spanish area of Tenerife where all the locals are very friendly and you don't have the constant 'bother' that normally occurs from the larger more commercial side of the Island. Our own local Restaurant, San Jose (which we frequent regularly!) is at the bottom of the village and caters for all - opening at 1200hours until 2300hours.
